An undertone that I have recently observed as John McPain's Campaign further descends into a frantic and desperate play on the easily stupefied American Majority, is the virtually unspoken fear and aversion to Islam. Even the slightest and most hypothetical implication of any foreign or Muslim background in Obama is a total political Death wish and something to be Feared.
Is anyone else frightened and disgusted by this even partially accepted conventional wisdom? If I were a Muslim-American living in America today, I would surely feel incredibly ostracized and totally isolated.
I just really do get bummed out when I hear stuff like this. It is simply inconceivable that the supposed "Christian Nation" and that we live in is capable of such ugly xenophobia.
In other news, I have been playing WoW again. This time however, I am determined to level my Dranei Shaman to 70 before Wrath of the Lich King in November. I hadn't leveled another character past 20 in a long long time and Blizzard really has done some serious nerfing to the game in general. Getting to 32 has been a total breeze and frankly I think it's much more enjoyable playing through Old World after the XP nerf. Having a mount at level 30 is sexy as well.
